Schedule I and Schedule II drugs

Schedule I drugs are those that are addictive, have no significant medical use and are likely to be abused. These include narcotics like heroin, mescaline, LSD, marijuana and peyote. Schedule II drugs differ from those in Schedule I in that they have some accepted medical use. Such drugs include opium, cocaine, methadone, methamphetamine and amphetamines. We handle cases involving Schedule I and Schedule II drugs, trying to obtain treatment and lesser sentences if an acquittal or dismissal is not possible.

Prescription drug abuse

Our clients include people who have become addicted to prescription drugs after an illness or injury. People sometimes resort to forging prescriptions to obtain the medication if the legitimate prescription expires. We help clients who have become addicted to medication to find appropriate treatment for their addiction. Often, a commitment to seeking treatment will result in a suspended sentence or probation.

Drug Court

We have successfully entered clients into county drug court programs. Such programs require participation in treatment activities. When clients complete the ordered program successfully, their record may be expunged or they may receive other incentives, such as a dismissal of the charges altogether.
